The Towers of the Paine form part of the eleven units of the national system of Wild Protected areas of the 12th region of Chile, in which 5 national parks participate, 3 reserves and 3 natural monuments, that reach 6.728.744 hectares.
Created in 1959, it was declared Reserva de la Biosfera by UNESCO, on 28 April in 1978, with a surface of 242.000 hectares.
The variety of vegetation and fauna species, together with the sceneries, make this zone an amazing place for adventure.
There are many paths for you to visit the Park. the most well known are the “W”, that takes 4 days and 76kms, and the Macizo Paine, 7 days and 93 kms.
However, the most important place is the National Park Towers of the Paine, with landscapes, fauna and flora that will amaze you. In the park, you will find the well known Towers and Korns of the Paine, highly vertical mountains. In their tops, you will find lakes that were formed by the glaziers, pumas, guanacos, foxes, condor, gansos salvajes, ñandues, cisnes and many more. Leafy forests of trees with their barbas give a magic touch.
